Meet the Artist

My name is Louise Bastos, a self-taught artist, muralist, and creative workshops facilitator. Born and raised in Brazil, I found my home on the Sunshine Coast over a decade ago. I've been painting for around 10 years and professionally started 3 years ago. I work with acrylic paint using loose brushstrokes.


My art is a reflection of my inspiration , imagination and deep connection with people and nature. I mostly paint botanicals (fun fact about me - I graduated as Biologist in university). I believe in the transformative power of art. I call my style contemporary impressionism and through my vivid paintings I invite you to use your mind's eye and discover the creativity that lies within each of us. Big love, Lou.
